Hi there!

Well, as many of you know, I LOVE smilies.
-Especially this guy:

I started using him as a signature when I was a Newbie because everyone else had really cool banners and I didn't know how to make them or use them.

Anyway, I was thinking, wouldn't it be kind of neat if IDOJ had it's own UNIQUE and EXCLUSIVE Jimmy Neutron Smilies?

So I tried making some:

SmileyJimmy4.jpg

SmileyCarl2J.jpg

SmileySheen5J.jpg

SmileyCindy3J.jpg

SmileyLibby3J.jpg

Please tell me what you think.

A couple problems. One, of course, they're really big. I could try importing them into Photobucket smaller though, if you guys like them.
-And Two, though I love Smilies, I don't know how to use them. I don't know how to get rid of that white background. I was messing about in Print Shop, and I saw an option called Freehand Crop, but I don't know if that's what you do or not.

And then there's the question of: Are they good?
-Myself, I like Jimmy, Carl and Sheen especially.
-Cindy not so much. Yellow on Yellow didn't seem to work too well, but I couldn't decide what to do.
-And Libby I'm not sure about either. I've never seen an African American Smiley.
-I did consider making them flesh colored, but I've always liked standard yellow.

Any comments are weclome.

And Mara, if you see these guys, and like them, and think it's a good idea, I would be honored if they were added to the Official Smiley List there on the left.
-If you or -who is it?- Alex know how to incorporated Smilies.

Bye for now!

Snazzo

The Carl and Sheen ones are my favorite! :)

I love them. If we could use them I would. I don't know though, maybe making them flesh colored if we could ever make them smaller and usable would be more 'unique' of the smilies as well?

Hehe, love Sheen's ultralord mask :D

That would be SO COOL if we had those for emotiocons; LEIK TOTALLY.

Well, here's what they'd look like...

Unfortunately the resolution seems to be a bit off. The symmetrical ones look much better than the asymmetrical ones, I might add.

These are cool!
Nice one, Snazz!

You could make the Cindy emoticon green or use a different shade of yellow for the hair..Just a suggestion :D

Hey Mara, how about make the emoticons as big as this one -
Will it work?

Great smilies Snazzo! And also a great idea. You did them well, I like it, I like Cindy too. If you send me original bmp files, I think I can do something with them. Sure, we can also change something, like colors.

Wait, which one do you especially like? This one

That's great Flank!
-Really, how do you do it? I would so totally use that upside down one.

But seriously, what do you think Mara?
-Those little guys aren't bad. But they're kinda hard to figure out.
-You can't really tell Sheen is in his Ultralord Mask.

You could make them bigger, like Karin says.

Just for fun, here's the original bitmap images:

See, there's a MESS of white background, but they are a pretty good size. You might not even have to resize them, just crop them.

If you want to try them again, Mara, it would be really cool!

Snazzo, your smilies are not hard to figure out. Like I said, you did a good work.

Now, delete these picture from your last post and send them on this email - ha_big_fan@hotmail.com

OK, I think, I should stop before I get arrested for cruelty to smilies.

OK, here is the big secret. I rightclicked the original smiliey, saved it on my computer, opened in GIMP, rotated and stretched it a bit, saved and uploaded on Photobucket from where I used it. Nothing complicated.

Aw, thanks bunches Flank!
-I think they look pretty good, if I do say so myself.
-I hope Mara can use them!

Were they hard to do?

It looks like you added some shading to Jimmy's and Cindy's hair. That looks really good! Especially Cindy.
-I wasn't too happy with my Cindy. -_-

I got your  btw, Flank. Thanks bunches for that too!
-I'm hoping to design a new signature with them pretty soon.

You the man!

See ya!

Thanks, you have to spend some time if you want to do something good. Though, I have good soft for it.
I like all smilies, Cindy too, just, may be I still need to fix her hair a bit.

Hi everybody! Glad you liked them.

@Gwen: Did you mean slick, or sick?

@Flank: Libby got a sun tan!

@Mara: Oo, I do hope you can add them, that would be spiffy.

If this works, I was considering a few more already.
-I can't think of any other Retroville characters, except Goddard. But how do you do a Goddard smiley?
-But I thought a Goobot or Calamitous smiley might work.

And this guy:  kinda reminds me of Calamitous already! With his tooth and question mark.

Cya!
