Guys, I'm gonna try my hand on a new chapter for this fic. Feel free to tell me how you like it, and how it could be improved, if needed. Without further ado, I give you Chapter 6 (FINALLY!!!!)!!
Cat's Got Her Tongue
Chapter 6: Professor Calamitous' Plot
"Just hurry up and tell us already!!! I'm getting BORED!!" Sheen complained after 5 minutes of silence.
"Shaddup, Ultra-Dork!!" Cindy threatened, her fist in his face.
"Fine!" he snapped, crossing his arms.
"If you arguing TWITS are through, I'd like to place microscopic radio transmitters on each and every TV set ever made, thereby enabling me to control who watches what! When that's done, I'll be able to control their minds and have them do what I want them to do!!! It's TOO perfect!!" Calamitous cackled evilly.
Then the gang finally noticed what was going on behind him. There was a long conveyor belt with TV's travelling from one end to the other, a mist of some sort spraying each one when it reached the middle of the conveyor belt. This struck Libby's curiosity, so she wandered over to it to get a closer look. At that moment, the gadget behind her ear started to spark a bit. Jimmy noticed this right away and hurried over to her, saying anxiously, "Libby, get away from there! The electronic signal given off by these television sets is disrupting your ability to communicate through the device I made you! Get away from this place immediately so the device won't be harmed by the electromagnetic impulses!!!!" With that, he grabbed her wrist and led her safely away from the conveyor belt.
Cindy hurried over to her best friend and gasped, "Libs, that was TOO close! Don't EVER endanger yourself like that again!!"
"Thanks, Cindy, but I think I can manage on my own," she told her, her mind-reading device still unharmed. Then she turned to Jimmy and suspiciously questioned, "Neutron, are you sayin' that I can't watch TV until I'm cured?!"
"I'm afraid that's how it has to be, Libby," the boy genius hastily informed her with a devastated sigh.
Oh, well, Libby thought to herself, (words said by Libby in italics are not heard by anyone except herself) It's just TV... Then she picked up her headphones and placed them on her ears, then turned on her music. All too soon, her device started to spark again.
Sheen's dim mind drew a conclusion as he said, "Okay, so I'm guessing that means Libby can't watch TV OR listen to music! Am I right?"
Libby felt it spark, removed her headphones, and put them and her CD player away. As can be expected, she instantly began to experience music-withdrawl symptoms. She dropped to the ground, curled up into a fetal position, trembled, hugged her legs with one arm and sucked her opposite arm's thumb.
"Yes, you're right, Sheen, for once! Gas planet, it's worse than I thought!" Jimmy exclaimed as he watched her tremble like that. Then he told his friends, "Looks like we have 2 crises on our hands: Libby's lack of speech and mind-controlling TV's! Goddard, carry Libby down the stairs and to the hovercar when we get there, okay, boy?"
Goddard barked and picked her up with his mouth and followed as the rest of them retreated to the nearest stairwell and climbed down the 12 levels to ground zero. From there, they rushed towards the hovercar, only to be blocked by a wire fence. Jimmy, as usual, had a solution for that. He brought out his rust-accelerating spray and sprayed a gigantic hole for them to pass through. They went back to the hovercar and Goddard helped Libby inside it while everyone else climbed in on their own. Then Jimmy started it up and returned the gang to Retroville.
Little did they know that their problems were only just beginning...

Chapter 7: It Gets Worse...
On the way to Retroville, Libby's situation didn't seem to get any better. She wasn't just shaking, she was convulsing! And Sheen did his best to confort her. She was HIS girl, after all! But it didn't seem to do any good, cuz all they were were UltraLord references.
"Ya know, Libby, the way you're shaking so much reminds me of UltraLord episode 315, when Robo-Fiend started that massive earthquake on planet Disturbia, which wasn't fair, cuz-" he began, but was interrupted.
"Just SHADDUP, Ultra-GEEK!!! She needs REAL comfort, unlike the junk you're giving her about your stupid DOLL!!!" Cindy barked at him, gently stroking her back with her hand, "She's shaken UP as it is!!!!"
"Y-You t-t-tell him, C-Cindy...," Libby stammered, still nerveracked.
"ACTION FIGURE!!!!!!" Sheen snapped, and faced the opposite way towards the front of the hovercar while sitting in the front seat, as usual.
Then Cindy softly told her, "Don't worry, Libs! Jimmy will find a solution to this mess! He always does!"
"Uh-oh!" Jimmy gasped, horrified at the scene he and the gang were fast approaching.
"What's the problem THIS time, Jimmy?!" Carl exclaimed, nibbling his nails.
"Remember how I told you about when everyone in Retroville except me and Cindy were like mindless, happy zombies?!" he informed him.
"I think so! Is it happening again??!" Carl worriedly asked.
"See for yourself, Carl!" Jimmy told him anxiously, pointing to the scenario in front of him.
"Oh, no!!! It's WORSE!!!!" he cried, looking over the side of the hovercar.
"HOW much worse?? How BAD can it BE??!" Sheen questioned, looking down and out of the hovercar. "Yikes!!! They're not only mind-controlled, they're destroying everything in their path!!!" he shrieked, almost hyperventihlating.
With that, Jimmy set the hovercar in a clear, safe(for the moment) spot in the middle of the park. Then he turned around and gently ordered, "Libby, hand me that ear-piece device of yours! I think I know how to fix it to where you can listen to music!"
Her hand still shaking, she took it off and gave it to him. He immediately got to work. "A few adjustments there...," he muttered a few minutes later, then proclaimed, handing it back to her when it was finished, "Voila!! Here ya go, Libby! Now you can wear it AND listen to music, okay?"

on chapter one, it would have been funnier after Cindy teased jimmy about turning the hovercar into a howling monkey, jimmy replied saying "if you don't shut up i'll turn you into a howling monkey."

Ya know, since I made this fic up on the spot, I can make that change for ya! I think I'll edit that right nao, in fact!on chapter one, it would have been funnier after Cindy teased jimmy about turning the hovercar into a howling monkey, jimmy replied saying "if you don't shut up i'll turn you into a howling monkey."

Okay, I know it's been SOOOOO long since I last updated, but this time lemme try to come up with something. If this chapter needs improvements, let me know! Here ya go!

Chapter 8: Figuring Out a Temporary Solution
Nearly 5 minutes had gone by in Jimmy's lab when Sheen started to complain of boredom... again. Then he started rattling on how this reminded him of yet another UltraLord episode, talking seemingly without end.
Finally, another 5 minutes later, Cindy barked at him, "You're NOT helping our current situation, Ultra-DWEEBCASE!!!! Now SHUT IT before I do it for you!!" She held her fist in his face to prove her point.
"Sheesh! Alright, ALRIGHT!!! I'll stop! Jeez!" he exclaimed, then muttered under his breath to where he thought she couldn't hear him, "Geez, SOMEbody sure has issues with Jimmy..."
"I heard that, Ultra-Twirp!!" she yelled.
Jimmy turned around, temporarily stopping his work, and demanded, "Be quiet, you 2!!! I'm trying to work here!"
"Sorry, Jimmy," Sheen said under his breath.
"Whatever...," Cindy mumbled inaudibly.
"Cin," Libby pointed out, "Could ya PLEASE try to get along with Sheen?! Your bickering is drivin' me NUTS!!! I'm TRYIN' to listen to Graystar, fo' Pete's sake! Sheesh!"
"Any progress on your invention, Jim?" Carl wanted to know.
"Not yet, Carl," he answered, "But I'm almost finished! Just give me 15 more minutes..."
"I've heard that before...," Cindy muttered, but Jimmy heard it nevertheless. "Watch your mouth, Vortex! I'm NOT afraid to send you back to the Triassic Period to shut you up!!!" he snapped at her, keeping his attention focused on his work.
"Keep your mouth SHUT, or I'll hit ya so hard that you'll reach the Andromeda Galaxy!!!" she hissed furiously.
Libby just groaned and commanded bitterly, "Y'all better settle yo' differences RIGHT now, or I'll be settlin' a knuckle sandwich on BOTH o' y'all!!"
That shut them up! For the following 15 minutes, Jimmy kept busy with his new invention. But he was so frustrated by Cindy that he unknowingly set up the circuitry the wrong way! But this didn't slow him down. He kept at it until he was finished.
Then he brought it to them and announced, "May I present the Peace-Bringer 5000! This will temporarily halt the mind-control signal of Retroville's televisions until I find a way to fix things permanently. Now come with me out of my lab... Time to put it to work!"
They, including Goddard, followed him outside and to an open area just in front of his clubhouse. Then he pressed a button on the UFO-looking contraption and it began spinning as its light blinked on and off rapidly. It then shot up 50 feet into the air and sent down a beam from underneath it that soon covered the entire town.
Suddenly, the beam on top of the kids teleported them to a mysterious and unknown dimension...

Dang!!!! It's getting close to a year since someone last replied to this!! Well, I'm breathing new life into this topic once again!! *puffs and blows on topic* lol I'm just exaggerating about that! heheh Another chapter idea is FINALLY starting to brew in my mind, but I'm waiting to post it until I have an idea for the entire Chapter 9. Let's see how many replies this thing generates NOW!!! lol

Chapter 9: The Lone City
When the kids appeared in the alternate dimension, at first glance, everything seemed normal.
"Well, everything seems normal after our mishap with my invention...," Jimmy informed them cautiously, "But we should look around and explore before jumping to any hasty conclusions... Just be careful."
"Uh, Neutron??" Cindy pointed out, nudging him gently with her elbow and pointing upward, "Shouldn't the sky be BLUE, not pitch black?!"
"Pukin' Pluto!!" he exclaimed out of shock, seeing that she was right, "You're right!" Even stranger than that was the overhead light source emanating from nowhere in the inky blackness.
"I-I-I-I'm scared!!!" Carl said, his voice trembling, "MOMMY!!!!!!"
"Get a hold of yourself, dude! This place can't just be floating in midair, can it??" Sheen wanted to know.
"Let's hope not!" Libby told him nervously.
The gang wandered through town, through the suburbs, and into the outskirts of town where the forest was. They continued for 15 minutes until they hit a sudden ledge that dropped down to, well, nowhere! "Just as I feared! Retroville and its outskirts are nothing more than a flat, floating land mass with a jagged underside surrounded by a deep, inky blackness!!!" Jimmy gasped, confounded by the apparent minimal laws of physics in this strange, alternate dimension.
"Now how are we gonna get outta this one?!" Cindy muttered, feeling, for once, very helpless.

I enjoyed that you kept the weird in the fic...
(By weird I'm referring to the Lovecraftian fiction where he opens the door to other dimensions)
Can't wait to see how they EScape the dimension.

Finally have a good idea for how to continue this thing, after AAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL this time!! Holy Heisenberg!!
