Hey everyone!
I haven't posted a contest in awhile, so I figured I was overdue.
This contest is fun, artistic, easy, and...shallow? :huh: LOL jk... it's just all about LOOKS, plain and simple ;) . :thumbsup:

The parameters of the contest are simple:

1) Design a "new look" for at least 3 JN characters! Your selection can be anyone from the show, from the main characters to the most minor characters of all. The look should include outfit, shoes, hairstyle, etc. OTHER than what they wear in the show. You can even change their eye color if you want, but make sure the characters are recognizable.

2) You may use a digital dollmaker like lunaii dollmaker [link], the dollpalace [link], candy bar dollmaker (an extension of dollpalace) [link], elouai dollmaker, [link] or Meez [link]. Alternatively, you can draw the characters yourself.

3) You must submit your three entries here by August 10th (that deadline's coming up quick, so get right to it!) Entries will be judged on how well the new look suits the character, how aesthetically pleasing it is (big words! Means "how good does it look") and for originality (for example, a pic of Libby in jeans and a pink top is too similar to her old look to really be considered "original" or "alternative").


PRIZES:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be chosen, but you all share a prize. The prize is...a TOSOT spoiler! The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be allowed to consult and decide on ONE question to ask me about TOSOT. It can be about anyone or anything in the story, and I HAVE to answer, even if it gives away the ending or who ends up with who. Pretty cool, right? Additionally, all three winners will receive 500 post points.

For those of you who are TOSOT fans, I'd say this is pretty big motivation to enter the contest. If you're not, then heck...you still get extra posts. Everyone wins!

One question. Well two actually. :unsure:

I frequently go onto a site called Subeta (subetax.org if anyone's interested). On there, one of the features is a human avatar that you can purchase clothes for and dress up, etc. Would I be able to use that for my entry/entries?

Another question, are we only allowed three entries? I mean, say I enter an alternative Carl. Then make another one, that is alot better then the first one. Are we allowed to replace the first one with the second improved one?

I'm definitely working on this. :thumbsup: Seeing that I'm grounded (I'm actually sneaking on right now, but don't tell my mother D: ) for a couple days, I think this'll be my new project... along with the last character in our collab. ;) ... Well, unless you want to do F Carl. :blink:

Anywayz, you can expect some entries from me. I'll probably get my computer back in two or three days, so I'll draw my pictures and ATTEMPT OpenCanvas coloration. Even thought it may (probably will cough) suck terribly. o-o

This sounds interesting! I might enter if I get out of my coloring slump. :D Though, I have a question: Is it possible for us to pixel-art the characters, too? Like... download doll bases or whatever and draw on 'em, or just pixelate them from scratch?

I can't believe you got me to do this three hours before I have to go to the cruise terminal. BUT it's okay! It's kinda annoying how I can't draw anything cuz I'll be away for the deadline, but I'll live. And since I have noooo clue how to get the pix here, I just copied them onto Paint. Here ya go, Mara!



I kind of forgot to get rid of the ears and mouth for Carl, but you said at least THREE and I have four, so okay. Also, the stars on Cindy and Libby are different stars =D just saying. Anyhoo... Ta-da!

OK, time to answer your questions:

1, sure you can use another site. I was only listing the ones that I knew of off the top of my head. Subeta or Gaia or w/e else you want to use is fine.

2, when I say "3 entries" I mean you have to submit a look for three different JN characters (for example, say, Libby, Carl, and Betty). You can submit more, but you can't submit 2 different looks for the same person (i.e. 2 different versions of Libby). Hope this answers your question!
