All the same, Judy is very smart. :)

Either the above is correct, or his mom/family has the gene too, but it is not very strong in them. It however is extremely strong is Jimmy and cousin Eddy
Plus, as we all know. Jimmy is sooo smart that he can actually create a device (Brain Drain, or in this case, Brain Gain) where he can make himself smarter, or increase his intelligence as high as he wants. When you contemplate this, it is obvious Jimmy is smarter.
Yes, I do admit that Judy does think thinks over more though. Which is good. However, as Jimmy gets older, he too will most likely do the same thing. Which means, for everyone that voted for Judy, that Jimmy can either easily get smarter, or he will just start learning from his mistakes and start thinking more things over, which will also result in him being smarter than Judy (eventually...).

the common sense gene, which obviously doesn't run on Huges side, is very important to be smart.
Baby Eddy is on Hugh's side of the family. So I'm thinking that the mutation gene runs in his family. You're either incredibly smart, or just not quite... that smart at all. xD
And common sense also develops with age. Once I put a fly swatter over a candle because I thought that the smell of the candle on the fly swatter would attract flies so I could just swat them when they landed on the fly swatter. No login in that at all, LOL. Instead, it just burned a hole in the fly swatter. Hahaha.
Maturity and decision making comes with age and experience. Jimmy will learn eventually. He is a genius, and a HECK of a lot smarter than the residents of Retroville. I think that Jimmy is indeed much much smarter than his mother in comparison, though. I can only imagine what he'll learn in the future. ^_^

For instance, in "Win, Lose And Kaboom", when they had to find a way to save the kids, it was Judy who came up with the idea to use some of Jimmy's items to create the portal. I think the poll would be a little more even if the show had put Judy in more situations where she needed to use her brain.
But I'm not at all saying that Jimmy is dumb. I bet that at the age Jimmy is, Judy was not as smart as he is. But for the here and now, I say she is probably smarter than him. Although when Jimmy gets to be her age, I can only imagine how smart he will be. He'll probably be the first person to ever win the Nobel Prize in bulk.

Because, if you really think about it, many of the adventures Jimmy goes on come about because of the mistakes he made. That kind of shows me that he still has a lot of learning to do.
It's simply a matter of trial and error. People make mistakes, and he happens to make many. :P He has, however, learned from many mistakes. It even appears in The League of Villians, when the gang wanted to break out the N Men packets. "Don't you remember what happened LAST time?" Just because he makes a couple mistakes doesn't mean he's any less smart.
Though, I do agree that Jimmy needs to think things out a little more, but I think that may be a maturity issue. You learn it over time. :)

Very true. She thinks quickly on the matter of solutions! But heck, she could have learned some things about science from Jimmy over those eleven years she's had him. I mean, did you see her before she had Jimmy? "Grind that monkey, Hugh!"

Ha! I can only imagine how much he will accomplish. Cure for cancer? Anything's possible. x]

Oh, and by the way, when I'm talking and thinking about "smart," I think book smarts... Your IQ level. The amount of knowledge you have about the world. There are other similar things, like cleverness and wisdom. And I think Judy exceeds Jimmy in both. And btw, I think clever is like street smarts and people skills and things like that, and wisdom is experience and good judgement. Judy's older and just generally more experienced in those fields.

Not because of brains. It because she nows more of the world than him. He always makes mistakes in every eppie. How many time have Judy made a mistake? Two?

Jimmy is a genius and ahead of most residents in Retroville, but naive. His mother has the "common sense smarts" (or street smarts lol), but I don't think she passes her son academically. XD
And even if she did, it was what she learned over time. She could've even learned a lot of science from her son if he showed her how his inventions worked, etc.
