There was a brief moment where I thought editing was "done" for the time being. But after that conference...well, turns out I'll probably be editing various things for the rest of my life. Hard work, but good work. =) I'll try not to complain...TOO much.

I have become like a cave creature, hunchbacked and pasty from lack of sunlight, eyes bulging as I labor over my pile of books. Only daring to leave the darkness of my burrow to feed, I rapidly scuttle back again and return to my paper, stroking the computer screen lovingly and hoarsely whispering "my precious, my precious..."
