Do you think Jimmy and Cindy will break up at some point?

Basically, they'll be sniping at each other for several years until maturity takes over. They are each others' foil. There is an undeniable chemistry, and once they get older the arguments and pranks will turn into flirtation. I don't think either of them could live without the other. They enjoy the challenge the other person presents, and at some point they're likely to realize that life is just boring without the other person. But again, that won't be for a long while. So until they put on a few more years in the growing-up department, they'll be confused and angry and giddy until they explode, just like every episode, haha.
Since I'm a closet romantic, I'd love for them to end up together forever. Honestly, to me, they seem like a pair that could be a successful forever couple. But not yet. They need more time to grow on one another and become a fixture in each others' lives. Between that and just needing to get through the confusion of growing up, it'll be a while in my book before Jimmy and Cindy ever become an item, despite that little kiss in the last episode.
But no, I don't think they'd ever fully break up after that. They might have arguments, but they (will) need each other too much to call things off completely.

Hmm. See, I'm more of the opinion that they won't be actually "together" for a number of years yet. They kissed at the end, but one little argument after that would easily destroy that. So I don't think they'd ever be official until they matured more.

Dang it Katie, you always take the words right out of my mouth. I agree with 100% of what you just wrote. I think barring one of them moving away/becoming seriously injured/dying, they would definitely evolve into a forever type couple.

BUT, I agree fully with Katie that I don't see them together right now, where the show ended, lol. Some people do, and I just don't understand that. I respect it and all, but I can't say I understand it. I hated the 'Lady Sings the News' kiss, and I'm a JC-er. XDDD. It made no sense to me. It came straight out of the blue as they were walking home. There was no real 'moment'. The episode was not about them and their relationship, and there was not much sign of it happening in previous ones. It was just...there. Weird, in my opinion. The writers just threw it in because they knew they were running low on time and episodes before it had to go, and knew the kids/viewers really wanted to see it happen eventually.
(My favorite theory of why it happened, other than the writers had to, of course
Of course I wanted to see it someday, but if the show absolutely had to end after three seasons, I would have preferred to have them forget it, and left it to our imaginations in fanfiction and various other fanworks for how we interpret their future. There has to be development! For both of them! They have to be friends! They have to go through hard times, and fun times, and much more than we ever saw! They have to sacrifice things for eachother! Spend more time alone getting to know eachother. Then when the friendship thing is settled, and they're more friends than enemies, have some romantic moments and realize there's something there...start liking eachother...more years go by...possibly try out a date. Then confess they love eachother. Then a kiss. Then the town realizes they're together and thinks "Its about time!" LOL. Then can be together, and when they're old enough go through college and get married, and live happily ever after...with some insane, obsessive, slightly intelligent kids taking over the gang's live's. XD Keeping that same chemistry they have arguing and still compete. Because that's who they are, and they'd really miss it and be bored if they didn't fight sometimes. But, do it without just the intention of "I hate him, or I hate her so much, can't wait to beat him, or she's mean to me!" blah blah blah. Just in a friendly, teasing way. They have to have a love/hate relationship forever, or its not J/C.
But, the show rushed it. The way Lady Sings the News, and the dreadful Power Hours (in my mind, at least) interpreted their relationship seems very odd. I'm not saying they aren't in love in the show, but they definatly don't realize it. They sorta need to realize it first...then be a couple. LOL. In the last episode, they were sorta flirting back and forth, there was the main story with Libby, and after they were fired, but forgave Libby, as they were walking home, Jimmy sorta checked to see if the coast was clear, grabbed her, kissed her, she had shocked look on her face, and then ran up to him, held his hand, and they walked home together holding hands, kinda sweetly. That was quick way of the writers saying to us "There you go, Jimmy/Cindy fans! They finally kissed, and are together, like I know you've anticipated! Bye!" And I'm thinking "Why?" LOL "They're 11 years old! And, why'd he kiss her right there?! Was there some secret development you're not telling us?"
So, that's my opinion on that kiss, and all. It can be fun just if you're watching the show without a care, and are a J/C fan, but if you're trying to analyze it, it doesn't make much sense. *shrugs* But, yes, I don't think they're "together" where the show left off. I do think they'll get together eventually in their late teens, and go through a break-up and have their struggles at some point, but eventually get together again and stay that way. *is a hopeless romantic* I also love the idea of Libby, Sheen, and Carl maybe helping Jimmy and Cindy with their relationship through the hard times. That may seem kinda weird, but other than themselves, no one knows them better, so it could be sweet...
Of course, Katie explained all that so much better than I did and ever will! LOL. Katie, your analysis and reviews are amazing! Your whole explanation about them maturing and everything was so true and perfect. I loved reading that post so much!
But, those are just my opinions, and maybe someone else has a better interpretation of what that part of the episode menat and if they think they're together now. I enjoy these discussions, LOL.
See y'all

That probably made no sense, but it did to me.

Yes, I would think so if Cindy's old habits return to full gear, then she'll linger into a controlling, abusive relationship by using physical and verbal abuse towards Jimmy, not to mention Cindy having her mind snapped due to pressures of being the best by her bossy mom.
Couldn't have said it better!

Yeah, I do believe they'll break up at some point, and I'm a crazy JC shipper. The thing is that no one is perfect, neither a relationship, they HAVE to break up, otherwise that wouldn't be a "normal" relationship (they're not normal, I already know that).
Emily, are you pissed of or something? .___.

I'm not; I just happen to be a "perfect-utopia" shipper type-person, but I guess that's not as realistic...
The words "perfect" and "utopia" don't really mesh with Jimmy and Cindy though.

Maybe, but that isn't bad :3 I mean, you have strong convictions and no one can bring you down for that ^^
