All in all, I find him pretty likable, a little naive as Mara said, (but hey, he IS only 10 ^_^) but probably the best character in the whole show. ^_^
But he seemed very out of character in JTPH2, along with Lady Sings The News, but then again, these ARE the last episodes we're talking about, so I can't expect him to be in a competitive "eww, cooties"deal with Cindy the whole time, so I won't complain about that. Just saying that it bugged me a little bit. ;)

That's true, & btw, I believe in that episode, that he said it was "three months away", so yeah, he'd be 11 by now I figure, just that he looks more 10-ish, but either way, lol. ^_^Actually, I think he's 11 by now. In "Hypno-birthday to you" he hypnotized his parents into thinking it was his birthday because he didn't want to wait...however, his birthday wasn't THAT far off, so it's likely that it came and went.

He's definitely my fave charcter, with Betty being second, Libby tieing with her, & I'd place Sheen as a 3rd fave. ^_^

His whole attitude is now a bit more mature, and his character develops so much during the series. In the beginning, they had a fresh start, and he seemed like just a lovable guy with a big ego, but now he's a lovable guy with a sarcastic attitude, which makes it all the better!
He definitely hits points in the series that make me laugh. Jimmy has got to be my fav. character. <3

In the movie, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Jimmy seems to be a lot more naive than he is in the series. He was only ten in the movie, and he had his cute kid moments. In fact, to point something out, Jimmy cried in the movie, but never in the series once has he ever faced anything that would make him cry.
Couldn't agree with you more, he definitely has his moments in a lot of episodes, & I kinda feel for him sometimes, (like that part of the movie you said when he cried; in Safety First, etc) but I definitely watch the show to see what else he's gotten himself into, & some episodes I like a whole lot just because of a certain thing he does or says, others he just makes me crack up laughing, & basically anything I could hope to find in a character, he's definitely awesome! ^_^

Exactly, one part in "Subsitute Creature" where he was testing out his ego reader (or whatever he called it), I just cracked up laughing when he was all "hey!" after it said he was boasting a little too much, LOL. Dunno why that just popped into my head, but it's still hilarious!
& the sarcatic attitute just made him that much more likable! Only thing I'd have to complain about with a teenage version of the series, would be the J/C love fest that'd come with it, but otherwise, I'd like to see a teenage Jimmy, if he was this cool as a kid, then just think of what he'd be like as a teen! ^_^
So only thing I'd really have against a teenage version of the show would be all the overwheming J/C-ness, (since they'd be teenagers & all) but otherwise I'd get a real kick out seeing his teen life! ^_^

I have to object. In "Brobot" (which, btw, is probably one of my least favorite eps), when he tells Brobot he's going to deactivate him and then the droid says something, and Jimmy sheds a tear. I would assume that counts as crying, no?In the movie, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Jimmy seems to be a lot more naive than he is in the series. One of my favorite quotes is the poem from "Return of the Nanobots ." It's scientifically and grammatically correct.

Oops! God, I am so embarressed. >>; I completely forgot about that episode! But wasn't that season one? In my opinion that was when he was transitioning between the movie self and the series self.I have to object. Movie self: Naive but cute, a nice guy overall, and was a bit sensitive.
Series self: Develops character and sarcasm, but is still the nice guy we all know and love.
And in both he has a bit of an ego issue, if you catch my drift. xD

He is so brilliant, and the people of Retroville (in my opinion) seem to take this for granted. They should be lucky to have him! Otherwise, I think Retroville might've been a bit dull without his genius I.Q. He is wicked smart. Jimmy's geekiness is what makes him so awesome!
And other than his genius and ego (lmao, you know what I'm talking about there), I think Jimmy is that nice guy that everybody just has to love. Well, except for the people who think that they're too old for Jimmy. No one's ever too old for Jimmy Neutron! My grandma even loves him! Gosh. >>;
Then there's that sarcastic image he has that packages with Sheen and Carl's jokes and lines. His facial expressions make me laugh, and then I have to rewind that part of the episode to watch it again.
In the movie, Jimmy is a bit more sensitive to what other's do and say to him. Like when he was in the prison cell, and everyone was angry at him. He was crying, and it was a sad and gentle moment for everyone's favorite boy genius. And of course he was a bit more naive. Ex: "I didn't think we liked girls yet, Jim. "...No, we don't! We don't! Ugh, not yet! *Gag noise*"
And that is why my FAVORITE character, inside and out, is Jimmy Neutron! <3

-Krista, you, once again, practically read my mind on Jimmy, EVERYTHING you said is EXACTLY why Jimmy's my all-time favorite, with Betty coming in as a strong second, Libby tying up with her, then Sheen, followed by Carl, who is then followed by Cindy. B)
So my list would be as follows:
1. Jimmy!
2. Betty AND Libby
3. Sheen!
4. Carl
5. Cindy

Great minds think alike!couldn't have said it better myself!! B)

But anyways, when the movie preview first came out, I was hyped up to see it. Not like most movies I see now, which give me the impression, "No thank you."
And when the series came out, I fell in love with it immediately. That's why the characters are so familiar to me. xD
Basically, I guess you could call me a fan from the start! JK
But I can tell you the humor I saw from Sheen made completely fall in love with it. His first comedic debut in the movie was the famous scene, "I'm peeing...IN THE SHOWER!" which was worth the whole pay to the movie itself.
But that's not talking about Jimmy (I went off subject again, gah!). Jimmy's funniest part of the movie was when he was getting ready for school, and he got the machine to put his shorts on. Ouch. Wedgie. ;-;
And Number 2 has got to be when he's in cellar and he has Libby's cellphone. He used Goddards "Play Dead" mode.
Jimmy is just my scientificul (yes, I know that's not even a word) genius. Everything about him appeals to me, and his character is so likeable for me it's not even funny. Okay, maybe it is. xD
I demand Retroville appreciate Jimmy Neutron more!
Which gives me another idea for an episode: Jimmy runs away, and Retroville realizes just how important James Isaac Neutron really is.

& yeah, I just adored that movie, not too much J/C-ness, enough where I can tolerate it, hilarious scenes, & just one of the best theater movies I've ever seen. ^_^
Thing is, I wasn't about to be a fan when it first started, as I was still on my "ugh, Nickelodeon stinks" kick back then, mainly for SpongeBob, (no offense to any of his fans!!) & science based shows, (where science was the main topic here) didn't exactly interest me then. Kinda like they don't interest Cosmo at all either, but once I DID finally give this show a chance, I just LOVED Jimmy's character right from that point on, he's just the best character in the show, why else would the cartoon be named after him?! :D

That's why they didn't name it, 'Cindy Vortex: Average Love-Hiding Girl', or 'Sheen Estevez: Hyper Ultra-Lord Lover,' or anything along the lines of that. Jimmy Neutron is the best character overall (again, in my opinion). And that's part of the reason I watch the show. Jimmy is the character that sweeps the floors for me. And the other characters are just awesome, too. But when I saw the first movie in theatres, it was him that just brought it on home.
Even when Cindy and Jimmy fight, I always side with Jimmy. I do, seriously!

Couldn't have said it any better myself! I just adore Sheen's character, & Cindy IS cool & all, but when it all comes right down to it, let's face it:Exactly!

If Jimmy wasn't there, or was ANY kind of different, then I probably would not even watch the show. ;)
& You are definitely NOT alone on that last statement, I'm always with Jimmy whenever they get into their little bouts, I'm usually like "oh just shut up already girl, if you can't agree with him, leave well enough alone already" or along those lines, heh. ;)
& to clear things up: Libby IS my favorite "main character" female, but only one thing I've never liked about her: when she joins in with Cindy on picking on Jimmy.
Fortuntely, in the later seasons, (much sooner than the big changes in J/C's relationship; *not saying anything else there*) Libby's quit doing this, so that's why she's become my favorite MAIN female character, but Betty makes my day when she does show up, cameo or regular, so she easily ties with Libby for all-time favorite female character!
Anyways, like you said, Jimmy just MAKES the show, (not trying to rile up any Cindy fans, I mean that!! :() if it weren't for him, I highly doubt I'd watch the cartoon at all! ;) ^_^

But I agree on you whole-heartedly with the Libby making fun of Jimmy fiasco. That's just not cool, there. D: That's why I'm glad later she starts being nice to Jimmy.
Jimmy never did anything to hurt anyone. The only times he's ever cause destruction is because of his inventions or his enemies. He hasn't done anything to purposely make anyone upset (unless, if Cindy's gone too far...again xD).
But like I said: The Nice Guy
